My Learning Goals...
This semester, I created a new set of learning goals that are specific to my mentor site. Under each tab is a short description of how I completed each goal, as well as evidence of completion. Each goal is listed below.
1. I will observe my mentor's behavior when interacting with patients in order to learn how to properly interact with and deliver information to patients in a way that satisfies both professional and emotional sandards.
2. I will learn what my mentor is looking for when performing an "annual" exam so that I understand the fundamentals of a baseline appointment.
3. I will become familiar with the five most common issues women face in relation to obstetrics and gynecology in order to gain a baseline understanding of them.
4. I will learn what constitutes as an "abnormal" pap-smear so that I can understand what makes it "abnormal", what it means, and how to address it.
5. I will establish connections and acquire information that helps me move forward into college/medical field in order to network and gain advice from experienced mentors at my site.
